The Valley's Julia Baker, founder, executive chef, and CEO of Julia Baker Confections, is no stranger to television. The Le Cordon Bleu grad and Paris-trained chef has made appearances on ABC's The Chew, the Oprah Winfrey Network's The Gayle King Show, and recently the dessert edition of the Cooking Channel's Not My Mama's Meals, the show hosted by Paula Deen's son Bobby.

The latest television turn for Baker is a big one: her own show. And you can watch the series premiere on the Cooking Channel.

Baker's show, aptly called Sweet Julia, will air at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, April 20, on the Cooking Channel (check your local cable listing for the channel).

Although Baker's public relations company is tight-lipped about the content, a source tells me the show will be a mix of cooking tips, recipes, and "reality" television as it documents Baker and her team undertaking various projects. The first episode, the source says, will follow Baker through a cake-making process.
