Wok Box, the quick-service Asian eatery that invites its customers to "Take a walk down the delicious side of Asia!" (spoiler alert: not a real geographical location) opened its first Arizona store in Scottsdale in January of this year.

But the eight-year-old Canadian-founded company with 70 franchises worldwide is hungry for more.

In a recent press release, the company stated that it has signed a "master development agreement" for the Arizona area and that, in addition to the Scottsdale store and another opening in Gilbert's San Tan Village in early November, Wok Box will open 20 more Wok Box Fresh Asian Kitchens in Arizona.

Who's the franchise exec behind the Wok Box explosion? John Stevenson, the former director of training for the Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery franchise based in Tempe.

Wok Box's menu features noodle dishes, curry, stir fry, and banh mi sandwiches inspired by the flavors of Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, China, India, and Vietnam. A variety of gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options are available.
