Turn the crank, make some noise.

Art lovers descended on Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum on Friday, May 12. They'd come to see a trio of new exhibitions, and meet several of the artists with work in the shows. New Times got a sneak peek earlier that week, watching artists paint murals and work on a large-scale installation. Then we headed back for Friday's opening to see how the works came together. Here's a look at both, plus plenty of the people who turned out to enjoy the shows, which continue through Sunday, August 6. All photos by Lynn Trimble.
