Let's face it: Legendary rockers Deep Purple, who headlined last night's show at Ak-Chin Pavilion, never stood a chance in upstaging our beloved shock icon Alice Cooper. The Coop came out firing on all cylinders from the get-go with his stellar cast of guitar slingers and antics that made us love him in the first place. That's not to take away from Deep Purple's last stop to the Valley as they continue to tour across the country on their farewell outing, which, despite many empty seats in the venue, was still impressive.
