Swiss-based Nevercrew paired bears and machines for their mural in downtown Phoenix, Seattle-based Cheyenne River Sioux artist Cheyenne Randall altered celebrity images with tattoo art for his wheat paste murals at Heard Museum, but most of the year's best murals to date were painted by Arizona-based artists. These artists tackled themes such as school violence, immigrant Dreamers, and gentrification. Here's a look at 10 of our favorite 2018 murals — so far.
