Phoenix’s chapter of the United States Bartenders Guild hosts different challenges throughout the year that foster creativity and community in the bar scene. Last weekend at the
Old Town Farmers Market in Scottsdale on Saturday, May 10, teams of three were given $50 to shop the market for raw, local ingredients to make a unique cocktail creation. With only 30 minutes to make everything for the drink, aside from the vodka, from scratch, the four teams raced to make radically different drinks. The winning team received $1,000, a trophy, and some major bragging rights.
