The Pat Tillman Foundation is putting on a benefit on October 3 featuring author Jon Krakauer, who's got a new book out on the former Cardinals' player.
Krakauer is perhaps best known for his gripping account of tragedy on Mount Everest in 1996, Into Thin Air. As awesome as that book was, we enjoyed Into the Wild and Eiger Dreams even better. His book on Mormons, Under the Banner of Heaven, departed from his adventure theme yet had its own pleasures.
