  • Obama Cookie Makes a Comeback at Tammie Coe

Before the election, the stretch of Roosevelt around 6th Street seemed unusually busy, no doubt due to the Obama campaign headquarters located in an old house, amid the art galleries and shops. Brilliantly, pastry guru Tammie Coe -- whose shop is right across the street -- came up with Obama logo cookies, which surely inspired some jaywalking. Well, those cookies are back, just in time for Inauguration Day. The victory still seems sweet, doesn't it?

  • New Breakfast Options at Bomberos

Sometimes a scone and a killer latte are all you need to start the day on the right note, but sweets and caffeine aren't always enough to fuel you through the morning. Wisely, the folks at Bomberos have figured this out, and are amping up their breakfast options beyond the yogurt, granola, and Tammie Coe pastries they've always served. Now there are hot, savory items as well -- omelettes and breakfast wraps, each available with five different fillings (cheese, ham and cheese, veggie,

  • Travel Channel Coming to Tammie Coe Today

Tammie Coe employees say they have no idea which show it's for, but word's out that a crew from the Travel Channel just stopped by the Roosevelt Row pastry shop to shoot some footage and take pictures this afternoon. Apparently they're making the rounds at different dessert-y spots in the neighborhood.

  • Battle of the Breakfast Sandwiches

Drip Coffee Lounge vs. Tammie Coe Cakes & MJ BreadA reader suggested we compare breakfast sammies and we were more than delighted to oblige. That's how we ended up spending Sunday morning flitting between two popular downtown Phoenix eateries. It was an ideal time to scope out the breakfast sandwich scene; there were no crowds, perhaps because everyone was either in church or still asleep. In One Corner: Drip Coffee Lounge 2325 N. • Monster Ooey Gooeys at Tammie Coe

It's not very often that cupcakes make me laugh, but I saw these little dudes in the case at Tammie Coe on Halloween morning, and couldn't resist getting one to go with my latte. They're probably all gone by now, because Thanksgiving's the next big holiday to pimp. And I'm sure there is something equally fun in their place.

  • Skip the Hassle, Pre-Order Your Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a time for family, friends, giving thanks for all you have. And for slaving away at a hot stove for six hours -- basting and checking and basting and checking the turkey, peeling and mashing potatoes, cooking green beans, dicing onions and celery, stirring the gravy, etc. Whew. Hard work! http://www.flickr.com/photos/dtsang/ / CC BY 2.0You could do that, if you're a Martha Stewart type with a cute white apron and a perky attitude that
