Southern Rail Tonight
The latest installment of the 7 Chef dinner series will go down tonight at Southern Rail in Phoenix. The Fowl Out will feature seven courses of fowl-focused dishes from chefs including Cullen Campbell of Crudo, Tracy Dempsey of Tracy Dempsey Originals, Stephen Jones of Bootlegger, Bernie Kantak of Citizen Pubilc House/The Gladly, Gio Osso of Virtu, and Gregory Wiener of Top of the Rock. The menu includes dishes such as hot chicken with lardo hot sauce vinaigrette, pickles, and corn cake rolls; turkey tail ragu with porcini, polenta, and grana; and "Nog to the Egg," an egg custard tart made with AZ Bitters Lab Orange Bitters caramel, bourbon laced pineapple and sweet potato compote, and nutmeg crisp. Sprinkles Cupcakes Tuesday, December 9
On Tuesday Sprinkles Cupcakes in Scottsdale will launch a new cupcake ATM that will let diners satisfy their sweet tooth 24 hours a day. In celebration of the launch there will be 50 golden tickets hidden inside cupcake boxes inside the ATM. Each ticket will be worth anywhere from one free cupcake to ten dozen free cupcakes. The ATM dispenses cupcakes made daily inside the bakery and will be restocked between three and five times a day. The ATM will dispense vegan, gluten free, and sugar free cupcakes in addition to the classic offerings. The golden tickets will be available beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Phoestivus 2014 Wednesday, December 10
Still got some Christmas shopping left to do? Head to the fifth annual Phoestivus market this Wednesday to get gifts from more than 100 local vendors including food artisans such as Brazen Chocolate, AZ Food Crafters, Iss's Magic Mixes, The Tamale Store, Rise Biscuit Co., and many more. The annual event will be held at the Downtown Phoenix Public Market from 4 to 9 p.m. and will also feature ten local food trucks and a beer garden. This year, for the first time, you'll be able to enjoy a Phoestivus Ale while walking and shopping. And when you're ready to fuel up look forward to eats from trucks including Comfort Cravings, The Great Pho King Food Truck, Spice It Up, Mamma Toledo's, Emerson Fry Bread, and L.A. Roots.
