Number 62: Spiced skirt steak at Tuck Shop
The folks at Tuck Shop have found a good thing and stuck with it.
Although this cozy Coronado District Hangout has rolled out new seasonal menus since it opened a year and a half ago -- oh, how I miss the crostini duo! -- the Pine AZ spiced skirt steak has become an old standby.
The meat is juicy and perfectly seasoned, served with mushrooms and parmesan lentil mashed Yukon potatoes in a big enough portion to share, like everything else here.
But you know what? I don't want to share. I can eat this whole thing myself, without a drop of guilt. If you've ever wondered why Tuck Shop's tag line is "neighborhood comfort food," this dish will clear up any questions after one bite.
