The Hours: Happy hour starts at 3 and goes until 7 pm Monday thru Friday. Reverse happy hour is 10 pm till close Monday thru Thursday. On Saturday, you can take advantage of happy hour deals from open to close.

The Details: $1.00 off all drafts and $3.25 well drinks plus a happy hour appetizer menu for $2.50.

The Interior: There's nothing fancy about the décor in the two story building -- and that's okay. Lots of TVs inside, some are old tubes some are flat screens, all have a game of some sort on. Chalkboards are scattered throughout the bar informing you of specials and upcoming events. There is a lot of space in here so you will never feel like you are right on top of anybody. Plenty of high-top tables on the west side of the bar and booths and tables on the east side. Upstairs, there is a pool table. The vibe is definitely outdoorsy with a canoe on the wall and a general homey feel.

The Cost: six craft beers, a dozen wings, a half order of nachos and mozzarella sticks plus tax came to $33.50. Not bad for three people.

The Conclusion: Definitely just a neighborhood hang out but they do it right. Put your bike up on the indoor bike rack, check out the boards for something to drink, get some cheap eats, watch sports on TV, listen to the mediocre jukebox, play team trivia (Tuesday and Saturday), shoot a game of pool, play a board game, or listen to someone play an acoustic set. This place has it all.

Lets not forget about the 25+ beers on tap and a huge selection of bottles. If you're feeling adventurous, don't be afraid to ask the super friendly and knowledgeable staff for suggestions. Aside from the happy hour deals they also have daily specials. Wednesdays you can get a 23oz beers for the price of a pint and Thursdays are half off manager select bottles of beer, encouraging you to expand your palate.

If you're looking for a laid back place to hang out with friends in Tempe with great service, beer and food Boulders is a good bet.
