AMC at the Esplanade has temporarily shut its doors and will be reopening in August 2011 with new in-theater dining called Fork & Screen. Then the restaurant directly below the theater, Deemo's, has shut its doors according to the folks at Desert Living. There must be a vortex there. We're curious to find out who will be moving into Deemo's old spot.

Scottsdale's art and food craft venue, Jam, blogged about Heather Gill, one of the food photographers who have their art for sale in Jam's shop. Gill, who snaps photos for folks all over town -- including James Beard winner, Edible Phoenix -- is a trained chef and makes us want to jump through her images and devour everything in sight.
