It appears the tentacles of restaurateur Sam Fox are reaching out to expand his empire once again -- this time in Vegas, baby.

The 2012 James Beard Foundation semi-finalist for Outstanding Restaurateur has announced that Culinary Dropout, his trendy gastropub in Scottsdale, will open a location inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The restaurant will be Fox's first in the "whatever happens here, stays here" city and will open this summer.

"We believe the 24/7 culture of Las Vegas will welcome the addition of Culinary Dropout," Fox said in a press release. "Furthermore, the atmosphere of the Hard Rock Hotel complements the hip but never pretentious vibe of Culinary Dropout."

As reported in January, Fox is also planning on opening another Culinary Dropout in Phoenix, at 5640 North Seventh Street (between Camelback and Bethany Home Roads), in a space that used to house a motorcycle shop.
