Dave Thurston, What Are You Eating?
The improviser teaches free classes on improvisation Saturday, January 22 and Saturday, January 29 at Runway 21 Studios from noon-3 p.m.
What'd you eat for dinner last night? Last night, I ate a salad that I made using only a blender that I got for my birthday.
Favorite food: My newest favorite thing to eat is egg white omelets with mushrooms, bell peppers, salsa and turkey made in a blender that I got for my birthday.
Least favorite food: Pizza. It makes me feel like I'm in junior high again. Favorite dessert: Pizzookie (pizza cookie) from Oregano's. Half chocolate chip, half white chocolate macadamia nut.
Favorite local restaurant and meal to order there: Rose & Crown burger at Rose & Crown. I love that place.
Favorite local bar and cocktail to order there: Four Peaks, Kiltlifter.
Favorite thing to cook at home: Chicken salad with fresh mustard and ingredients from AJ's.
Favorite memory involving food: The first time I featured at Laff's in Tucson, they gave me a hamburger and I didn't have to pay for it because I was a comic. That was awesome.
Recipe or food tip to share: Go swimming right after you eat. Nothing will happen. That whole wait an hour after you eat to go swimming thing is a lie from Satan's den. I don't care if you go swimming or not. I just hate lies.
