Pilfer the Pantry
Before the crew at Cork in Chandler take leave for their annual summer hiatus, they're cleaning out the kitchen and fridge in a pretty unique way. From now though Saturday, June 29, they're offering a special Pilfer the Pantry menu: a five-course tasting menu for $50 a person. The special menu will be totally spontaneous since they're using whatever they have on hand, but they'll also have the regular menu available through Thursday, June 27. Crafty Beer Dinner
On Wednesday, June 26 Gertrude's at the Desert Botanical Garden invites diners to a night of craft beer and food from one of Arizona's award-winning breweries and chef Stephen Eldridge. The four course dinner features locally grown produce and ingredients, including One Windmill Farms squash, Maya's arugula, and Crow's Dairy Chevre. Paired with each course will be a beer from Oak Creek Brewery, many of which have won awards from the North American Brewers Association. Desert will be a housemade macadamia nut ice cream. Pillsbury Winemaker's Dinner
The relatively new gastropub Barrelhouse American Kitchen and Cocktails in Chandler will host a Pillsbury Wine Maker's dinner on Thursday, June 27. The four course dinner will feature wine pairings from Pillsbury Wine Company, for example the second course of Strawberry Pecan Salad with Watercress, Comte Cheese, Pickled Red Onion and Honey Citrus Vinaigrette will be paired with the Pillsbury "One Night Stand" Rose. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. and costs $55 a person -- it will also include a special barrel tasting from winemaker Sam Pillsbury. Summer Beer Dinner
Fans of Texas-based brewery Shiner Beer can get their fix at the Summer Beer Dinner at the Ritz-Carlton's bistro 24 on Wednesday, June 26. The one-night event will include a three-course dinner paired with a selection of Shiner beers. Expect hearty classic eats including pork belly and meatloaf with a sweet ending in the Bailey's ice cream. The dinner, set to kick off at 6:30 p.m., costs $45 per person and will feature appearances by brewing experts from Shiner Beer. For reservations call 602-952-2424.

Proof Backyard BBQ
There are brews, foods, and great views to be had at Proof at the Four Seasons Resort. This Friday, June 28, it's hosting an All-American backyard BBQ complete with your choice of hanger steak, honey cayenne chicken, or pork ribs with such sides as grilled sweet corn with chili lime butter or red, white and blue potato salad. For $39, guests can enjoy family-style appetizers, sides and desserts with your choice of meat.
