Got a Good Story About Monti's La Casa Vieja? You Could Win $1,000+ and Have a Booth Named After You.
Monti's La Casa Vieja is not only an Arizona landmark, it's the oldest, continually occupied structure in the greater Phoenix area. And when you've been around as long as this bar and restaurant has, you've seen the likes of everyone from Carmen Miranda, John Wayne, and Bruce Springsteen, to a host of ghosts and spirits from beyond.
Makes sense then that Monti's is celebrating their 55th anniversary with a story contest for the best Monti's memory. And just for taking a few minutes to write up a less-than-350-word recounting of it, you could score over a grand in prizes and get a booth named after you at the restaurant -- with your photo hung in it.
Read on for the details.
How the Contest Works:
E-mail or mail Monti's your best Monti's memory story. Stories should be a maximum of 350 words and be from one of the following categories:
- Most Romantic Monti's Memory

All submissions must be turned in by Tuesday, January 31. E-mail your stories to firstname.lastname@example.org or mail them to: Monti's La Casa Vieja, 100 South Mill Avenue, Tempe, AZ 85281.
1st Prize: The winner of the contest will receive a two-night stay/$500.00 gift certificate to the El Tovar Hotel at the Grand Canyon, $300.00 cash for trip expenses, and $400.00 in Monti's gift certificates. Plus, a restaurant booth will be named after the winning party and their story and picture will be hung in the booth.
