The Perfect Combo
We are firm in the belief that beer & cheese go together like peanut butter & jelly -- it's almost like one cannot live without the other. Think wine goes best with cheese? Well then you have obviously never had beer cheese soup. Friday night from 6 to 9 p.m. at HB Hanratty's in Phoenix, cheese chick Christine Hyatt will be teaching guests how to pair cheese with beer. Enjoy samples of handmade cheeses from several Oregon cheese makers including Rivers Edge Chevre, Willamette Valley, and the Rogue Creamery. Cheese will be paired with gourmet crackers and AZ craft beers from Sleepy Dog, SanTan, and Sonoran. This sounds like a really fun and tasty night for cheese and beer lovers alike. Tickets to this event are $25 and include cheese,  four beer tasters, and one pint of your favorite brew. RSVP at www.facebook.com/hbhanrattys.

Dessert Nachos

Apple Nachos? Yes please! These healthy nachos would make a great midday snack and are a great alternative to chips and cheese or could even be used to replace a super sugary dessert. You can top them with whatever you like but we appreciate the toppings that ManifestVegan.com used in her blog. Yum!
