House of Tricks Open Again! 
This Friday, Tempe favorite House of Tricks will re-open their kitchen after a well deserved three-week summer vacation and they want you to join them for their re-opening celebration. July 22nd through July 30th, try out the "Just for Starters" menu for $25 ++ per person. Start with light amuse bouche then pick one of five salads and one of five starters from chef Kelly Fletcher's summer menu including a grilled peach salad with prosciutto and blue cheese and smoked Korean style baby back ribs with barely pickled cucumber salad.  After dinner, enjoy a specially prepared dessert.  As an added bonus all beverages are will be at happy hour prices. Gluten-Free, Vegan, Sugar free Banana Cupcakes

We know what you're thinking -- these don't sound like any fun at all -- but give them a chance they're actually pretty good. Rice flour gives the little cakes a richer taste and roasting the bananas beforehand caramelizes them bring out the natural sweetness of the fruit.
