Italian Wine Dinner
Just because Restaurant Week is over doesn't mean you should sit at your house and wait till next year to check out Valley restaurants. Throw caution to the wind, hit the town on a Tuesday. North Scottsdale's Maggiano's is hosting an Italian wine dinner tomorrow night. From 6 to 9 p.m. indulge on Five rich courses paired with wines from Jacobs Creek, St. Jean, and Matchbook wines. Menu highlights include a poached baby heirloom tomato salad, grilled shrimp cannelloni, roasted portabella mushrooms, veal Saltimbocca Roulade, and a dark chocolate pear cannoli. Upon first glance, we thought this was just a pretty pot pie -- then we discovered it was something totally different.
