Hey Chandler, ready for some BBQ? Texas style or Mountain style? You now have both!

Texas barbecue franchise Rudy's Country Store and BBQ opened earlier in April and are dishing out Texas style brisket, ribs, chicken and smoked sausage.

And right across the street, New Mexico's Can't Stop Smokin' is putting the finshing touches on a log cabin styled building that will open later this month.

Did the two companies plan to turn the corner of 54th Street and Chandler Blvd into barbecue central?

Apparently barbecue minds think alike. According to AZCentral.com the two BBQ companies had no idea about each other when they chose the locations and each thought that Chandler was lacking in the barbecue department.

Rudy's opened their first store back in 1989 and has since grown to more then 30 locations across Texas, Denver, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. And newcomer to the franchise world, Can't Stop Smokin', also has more than 30 years experience which they have put into both of their very successful New Mexico barbecue joints.

We definitely see a barbecue battle in the near future.
