13. Pasta Erbe Aromatiche from Franco's Italian Cafe
Chef and owner Franco Fazzuoli is a legend in this town so you can bet we were happy when he returned to the Valley in 2012 after leaving town to go to New York in 2006. He opened up Franco's Italian Cafe in the former home of Bravo Bistro in Scottsdale, transforming the space into a cozy Italian restaurant where diners tuck into plates of excellent pastas and desserts.
Though the restaurant always has a tempting list of daily specials, our go-to item on the Franco's menu is the Pasta Erbe Aromatiche. The dish combines handmade strozzapreti pasta dressed in a creamy white wine sauce made with just a hint of cream. The special touch is the blend of herbs that lightly scent and flavor the dish, making it one that satisfies all your senses.
