The Cove Trattoria's new location makes the name more appropriate than before. The new digs are tucked deep within the Scottsdale Seville Center, located at the corner of Scottsdale Road and Indian Bend Road. Keep heading toward the back and you'll find it.
Whether you're a long time Cove cust omer or a newbie hoping to check out all the Italian comfort food, the new Cove serves hungry patrons in a very open space. There are no booths at Cove, but rather rows of combining tables for diners and bar high counters for social crowds enjoying drinks.
And what drinks! We were lucky enough to try a Lemon Cielo Martini, which we found so cold and refreshing that it was almost like drinking a lemon slush.
More impressive was the outdoor patio area that still feels connected to the restaurant, thanks to a large window that allows you to keep tabs on the bartenders working inside.
Unfortunately, similar compliments can not be paid to the food available at the grand opening on Tuesday night. Plates of pasta and mozzarella with balsamic vinegar and tomato were fresh, but nothing to write home to your Italian mama about.
