After over forty years in the restaurant business, Frances Lee Hamby (a.k.a. Tiny) and her family are calling it quits.
For many, Hambry's last venture, Tiny's Country Cafe, the small, cash-only, home-style breakfast and lunch spot near the corner of Greenway and 19th Avenue, has been a go-to spot for down home charm and affordable eats for three years.
A sign posted on the door from Tiny explains the decision to close (the last day is Monday, February 20), giving fans a few more opportunities to stop by. For newcomers who want to find out what they've been missing, order up the biscuits and gravy "grannied" up with extra sauce, the fried potatoes, the signature hot sauce (also available for purchase) and, if you've still got room left, a piece of home made pie for dessert.
