Beer enthusiasts who like their cold ones served up a side of boozy education might want to raise a glass: Two more World of Beer locations are headed to Arizona this fall.

The six-year-old craft-beer-focused franchise -- where servers go through 10 days of training to become beer experts -- currently has more than 40 locations throughout the country. Last August, the first West Coast WOB opened in Tempe (Mill Avenue and Sixth Street) courtesy of owner Matt Shirah.

Now, nearly one year later, Shirah is planning on bringing two more to Arizona this fall.

First up is downtown Tucson, where Shirah plans to open up a 3,000-square-foot WOB on the ground floor of The Cadence, the new student-housing complex near East Congress Street next to the Rialto Theatre. The Tucson location is set to open in October.

In November, Shirah will open a third Arizona WOB in Gilbert's SanTan Village, at 2224 East Williams Field Road. Its 3,000-square-foot space also will feature a patio.

Like the Tempe location, the Tucson and Gilbert WOBs will feature more than 50 rotating beers on tap from more than 40 different countries, 500 beers available by the bottle, craft spirits, an extensive wine program, and live entertainment. Plus, the new locations will offer a "Tavern Fare" menu of bar bites -- something the Tempe location, thanks to a new kitchen, will adopt in August.
