The son of Paula Deen, America's favorite butter enthusiast, Bobby Deen has a new show on the Cooking Channel called Not My Mama's Meals. The show, which airs each week, features the son of the Food Network celebu-chef transforming his mother's recipes into light, lean meals.
Tonight at 6 p.m., Deen will be in the kitchen with the Valley's own Julia Baker, founder, executive chef, and CEO of Julia Baker Confections. Baker, who recently opened a flagship chocolate shop and wine bar at the Biltmore Fashion Park, will be joining Deen for some "healthy chocolate fun."
Here's what viewers can expect:
The episode, aptly named "Dessert Crazy," sees Bobby Deen taking a trip to New York's Sweet and Sara, where he learns to make healthy, homemade graham crackers for S'mores.
Baker joins Deen for the second half of the show to get "dessert crazy" with cherry-chocolate affagato and upside down pineapple parfaits.
The Julia Baker/"Dessert Crazy" episode of Not My Mama's Meals airs at 6 p.m. tonight on the Cooking Channel. Check your cable guide for station information.
