9/11 Memorial: The Healing Field at Tempe Beach Park

At 5:46 a.m., the same time the first plane hit the World Trade Center on 9/11, residents gathered at The Healing Field at Tempe Beach Park for a memorial service for those lost during the tragic events of September 11, 2001. The 9th annual Healing Field features rows of 3'x5' flags to honor those lost in the attacks. The memorial service included a presentation of colors, music, prayer and a reading of the names of the first responders who gave their lives.
