Particapnts of the All Souls Procession honor family and friends who have passed away.
Upwards of 100,000 people walked along the streets of downtown Tucson on Sunday, November 8, to honor the dearly departed and celebrate the Dia de Los Muertos during the annual All Souls Procession. The sacred and emotionally charged event, which is inspired by the Day of the Dead and has been happening yearly in Tucson since 1990, features countless participants dressed in traditional costuming or adorned with sugar skull makeup, as well as numerous artfully rendered floats, puppets, or mobile displays offering tribute to friends and family members that have passed on.
