For as long as grains have been farmed, beer has been brewed. Or so it is believed. As one of the oldest beverages in the world, beer certainly has a lot of history behind it and is thought to have been a major contributor to civilization throughout time. The Arizona Science Center put together their second annual Summer Party, Ancient Ales, Modern Science, to showcase the history and science behind beer making with emphasis on how Egyptian culture formed the basis of how beer is brewed today. Guest dropped $50 per person to meander the entire museum, after hours, in a 21 and older environment with numerous breweries on hand pouring their figurative hearts out for everyone to imbibe upon. Could you imagine being able to spend an evening in the Arizona Science Center with no kids? Now add beer to that equation and savor that thought for a second. Appealing, right? Check out the corresponding exhibit entitled “Ancient Secrets, Modern Science” and feast your eyes upon a real mummy, amongst other interesting things.
