Hannah Somerville, the creator of the Catchpenny Dandies, struts her stuff on the pole.
Half burlesque show and half comedy show, the Catchpenny Dandies performed at Red Owl on Friday night. The brainchild of Hannah Somerville, the show incorporates zany antics, a plethora of accents, hilarious skits and some pretty fancy pole-work.
Next door at Club Red, Ray Lipowski delivered punch line after punch line. Topics ranged from a how-to of stealing candy to arguing with a audience member about whether there should be ribs served at a comedy club.
Lipowski has been featured on several tv shows, including P. Diddy's Bad Boys of Comedy and Russel Simmon's Stand Up at the El Rey.
