Club Candids: Paul Oakenfold at Monarch Theatre

Dance music icon Paul Oakenfold visited the Monarch Theatre on Saturday, July 11, and wove intoxicating mixes of electronica, acid house, trance, and big beat sounds as he celebrated the 25th anniversary of Perfecto Records, his influential EDM label. A horde of Oakenfold fans filled the venue to dance away the night or simply soak up the sounds, including Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, who stopped by after his concert at Comerica Theatre earlier in the evening.
