Cooling Off at The Big Bang in Tempe

While Mill Avenue's usual weekend night crowd of bar hoppers were sweating it up on Saturday, June 28, the folks down in The Big Bang were beating the heat by partaking in some cool tunes being laid down by its resident musicians. The tune jockeys at the basement piano bar in Tempe tickled the ivories on a pair of baby grands and served up a variety of pop favorites, rock 'n' roll anthems, power ballads, and chart-topping hits that got the packed house giddily cheering and singing along, mostly in harmony and sometimes joyfully off-key fashion.
