Call me a cynic, but "encores" usually feel a little forced anymore. Regardless of how the show went, they're more or less expected, notable only in their absence or extreme length. Maybe it was a put on -- part of the mystique a Motor City-bred band playing nothing but obscure R&B covers needs to cultivate -- but it the set-capper seemed a little more organic at last night sold out Detroit Cobras show at the Rhythm Room...
