Eat a Peach: Annual Peach Festival at Schnepf Farms

1 of 19

Well, luckily for all us desert folks, we don't have to move to the country to get our peaches. Hundreds of peach goers came out last weekend for the annual Peach Festival at Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek.

Schnepf Farms has been growing peaches since the 1960s, and for two weekends a year the farm puts out the call for young and old to venture to Queen Creek for its annual Peach Festival. In addition to picking your own peaches, other activities include train rides, hay and carnival rides, a peach food-sampling tent, chef demonstrations and of course a bunch of pies, gooey peach cinnamon rolls and peach pancakes to complete this peachy festival. This is the last weekend to hit up the Peach Festival. So, here's the breakdown if you go:

When: 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 19-20

Where: Schnepf Farms, 24810 S. Rittenhouse Road, Queen Creek

Cost: Free admission; bring money for rides, activities, food and drink. U-pick peaches are $2 per pound.
