Free Comic Book Day at Atomic Comics in Mesa

1 of 16

Jonathan McNamara

Mike Debalfo (left) and Austin Santos showed up with a few choice items to have signed by the creators. Santos brought the new edition of Wet Works drawn by Whilce Portacio. Debalfo brought a few from Jim Lee's past, including the first issue of Gen 13.

Free comics drew crowds earlier in the day, but it was the reuniting seven founding fathers of Image Comics that lead to lines wrapping around the building. Excluding perhaps the initial founding of Image in 1992, this was the first time all seven artists had been in the same place at the same time.
