The annual Phoenix Idiotarod is much like the famous Alaskan dogsled race that inspired it, only with colorfully decorated shopping carts bombing around the streets of downtown instead of dogsleds gliding through the snowy wilds. And it involves people dressed up in wacky costumes imbibing alcohol before, during, and after. Oh, and the Idiotarod is a bit more interesting to watch. Check out our photos from the 2012 edition of the event, which took place on Saturday, February 4.
