SB 1070 Opponents Rally in Phoenix After SCOTUS Ruling

The American Flag was waving outside the I.C.E. headquarters in Phoenix.

In the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on SB 1070, Arizona lawmakers, community leaders, and political organizers gathered at the State Capitol Monday morning to say the fight is not over. They vowed to continue to oppose the remaining provisions that allow local cops to act as federal immigration enforcement agents. The rally also drew some counter-protesters who favor SB 1070.
