The PUEBLO Center for Legal and Human Rights held a Sheriff Joe Arpaio-themed Halloween/Day of the Dead bash November 1, with food, music, poetry, a costume contest, and a Maricopa County House of Horrors torn from today's headlines. Inside the "Creepy County Jail," Hispanic children cried for their deported parents, jailed mothers wept for their stillborn children, and MCSO deputies checked everyone for their papers. You know, just like in real life. Best costumes of the evening: One showing Arpaio to be a real horse's backside, and another of infamous anti-brown clown Buffalo Rick Galeener, who chased Mexican folk around all night with his, ahem, "water" bottle.
