Gawd, that looks so boring!

Boring?!?! Watching Radia do her thing with the hula hoop was anything but! She was absolutely terrific, doing things I'd never seen done with a hula hoop before. And that's me on the left so mesmerized that I didn't know a photo had been taken.

2 weeks before at Harmonic ConcorDance2 was the first time in over 50 years that I'd used one - I was never very good at it back when I was about 12, but I found that this past Saturday at Illumination2.0 I was actually better than my most recent previous try. It just takes practice - and a larger hoop is easier than the small one Radia was using. (There were hoops for attendees to try out and nice to see that several did so.)

I discovered in talking with Radia that she's only been doing this for about 18 months, but she definitely gets in a lot of practice. And her ability to actually dance while she's being so acrobatic is what I found so fascinating. I look forward to getting some actual skill with the hoop myself - less risky than fire dancing ;>)

There was nothing boring about Ashley's blacklight artwork! It and the others displays really contributed to the overall terrific experience that was Illumination2.0

Don't know on what this commenter (?Aved?) who thinks everything was boring bases hir ideas. I look forward to seeing what kind of reprints Ashley is able to produce of her originals.
