From the guys who brought you The Zen Lunatics comes The Cartwheels, traditional honky-tonk and country vocals combined with the energy and high enthusiasm of punk rock. Ten years after releasing their first album, The Cartwheels are making a return to the stage, and the studio, after an 18 month hiatus. They draw inspirations from classic guys such as Buddy Holly and Hank Williams I (as well as his son and his son after him), as well as more recent, harder acts like The Clash and Social Distortion, though their sound does lie more on the softer side of the spectrum. All of these factors strewn together to form one power-country supergroup of sorts? Sounds like a free-for-all good time.
