Fanatical followers of baseball who can’t cough up the $250 ticket price for this year’s All-Star Game at Chase Field can still get into the swing of things at the five-day All-Star FanFest at the Phoenix Convention Center, 100 North Third Street. Described as an “interactive baseball theme park,” the 350,000-square-foot extravaganza is a celebration of America’s pastime and features games, memorabilia, and plenty of photo ops with baseball greats.
The four-day FanFest starts on Friday, July 8. Doors open at 9 a.m. each day.
Fri., July 8, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sat., July 9, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sun., July 10, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.; Mon., July 11, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.; Tue., July 12, 9 a.m.-6 p.m., 2011
