And whether you yourself enjoy the finer things in life or like the rest of us, simply have to ogle them from a distance, here is the list of the 10 most expensive homes on the market right now.

1. 1220 N. Kyrene Road, Chandler -- $12,000,000

This first listing is in Chandler. The 14,000-square-foot estate built in 1984 stands apart from the other multi-million dollar homes in Scottsdale and Paradise Valley with its English Tudor-style exterior. Offering eight bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, this East Valley home also includes a tennis court, 22-person theater, English pub, 1.5 acre lake, and a garage that can hold up to 25 cars.

2. 21114 N. 112 Street, Scottsdale -- $12,800,000

This proposed mansion in the exclusive Silverleaf gated community has yet to be built. But should the the right wealthy home-buyer come along, it will take two years to construct this 12,889-square-foot estate designed by award-winning architect Dale Gardon. The future Spanish-Mediterranean-style home will feature six bedrooms, bathrooms, a heated pool, sport courts, media room, exercise room, and library.

3. 6240 E. Cholla Lane, Paradise Valley -- $13,750,000

This 19,475-square-foot house offers eight bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a resort-style pool with a grotto and slide tower, as well as a game room, wine room, massage room, media room, and what appear to be horse stables. The multi-level home is built in a European-meets-American-Southwest style and features desert landscaping, multiple fountains and patios, and two elevators.

4. 10624 E. Wingspan Way, Scottsdale -- $13,900,000

Yet another Silverleaf Community home, this 9,818-square-foot abode features four bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and such typical estate staples as a wine cellar, exercise room, sauna, library, pool, and guest house.

5. 21297 N. 110th Way, Scottsdale -- $13,995,000

For $95,000 more, big-time home buyers in the Silverleaf gated community can also purchase this 14,313-square-foot estate, which features five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a guest casita, game room, library, and private pool area with built-in barbecue. It also boasts high quality finishings like marble and French limestone floors, reclaimed hardwood floors from France, and in the kitchen there's Clive Christian cabinetry from England and a zinc counter top.

6. 7004 N. Invergordon Road, Paradise Valley -- $14,995,000

This hillside home built in 2008 is 15,000-square-feet and offers six bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and eight additional rooms including a game room, wine room, theater, fitness room, sauna, as well as multiple bars, a safe/gun room, infinity pool and two-level eight-car garage. Along with all the old-world accents of Italian marble, limestone, and travertine, the house is also tech-friendly with solar automated blinds, touch screens, and a remote tie-in to all the systems in the house through a smart phone or tablet.

7. 6721 E. Cheney Drive, Paradise Valley -- $16,000,000

This brand new luxury estate, which finished construction in 2013, is listed as an 11-bed, 12.5-bath house with 13 bedrooms. The Mummy Mountain adjacent home features among other things a heated swimming pool, lazy river, indoor basketball court, wine room, theater, multiple courtyards, a master spa, and private guest quarters.

8. 5837 N. Palo Cristi Road, Paradise Valley -- $16,000,000

This recently listed Paradise Valley home is one of two mansions currently being sold for 16,000. The 14,458-square-foot estate carries an odd mixture of Greco-Roman, Persian, and Southwestern accents and features seven bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, five fireplaces (for those chilly Arizona nights), an eight-car garage, and a "wine cave" that can store up to 600 bottles of vino. Outside, the house is adorned with marble columns and benches, a spacious pool, and a 2,000-square-foot, four-bedroom, guest house.

9. 20450 N. 108 Place, Scottsdale -- $24,500,000

This DC Ranch home in the gated community of Silverleaf features six bedrooms and 14 bathrooms. The house also offers five indoor and outdoor kitchens, two elevators, a basketball court, volleyball court, rock climbing wall, home theater, steam room, multiple spas, private drive guest house, and eight-car garage. And even though it sits along the sixth hole of a private luxury golf course, the house also offers a virtual reality/golf simulator room -- we assume this is a precautionary measure for any potential buyers who happen to be agoraphobic golfers.

10. 5850 E. Glenn Drive, Paradise Valley -- $30,000,000

This proposed 16,370-square-foot mansion sits on 8.76-acre lot atop Mummy Mountain, offering panoramic views of the Valley. Designed by Scottsdale-based architect Nick Tsontakis, the house would features an exterior of titanium plate, retractable glass walls, infinity pools on both the north and south wings, and a grand 2,000-square-foot entertainment hall that could be used for concerts, conference, or theater and dance performances.
