This Black Friday, ditch the big box madness and celebrate the shopping-est day of the year locally. Your chances of being trampled decrease, and there's no waiting in line for hours until the store opens, or getting up at 5 a.m. to find a spot in the parking lot. Instead, you'll have plenty of time before you shop to sleep off the tryptophan-induced stupor that came courtesy of your turkey dinner. Here are local businesses and boutiques that will offer discounts on the day dedicated to deals.

Cleo & Clementine This boutique, which focuses on special occasion apparel, just celebrated its one-year anniversary of opening a brick-and-mortar storefront in Phoenix. Cleo & Clementine will be offering 20 percent off anything black in the store. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the sale will run all day.
Bunky Boutique Stop by this unique boutique to pick up some funky apparel and artisan-crafted jewelry. On the 29th, everything will be 20 percent off.
Hub Clothing Look out, the savings are coming. Hub is having a sidewalk blowout sale during Thanksgiving week, from Monday, November 25, to Monday, December 2. Shop racks in front of the store for up to 70 percent off brands like Diesel, Toms, Nudie, Nations, and Gant. Then, head inside on Black Friday for 25 percent off of all outerwear and 20 percent off select denim styles.
Vintage By Misty Misty will offer shoppers 30 to 50 percent off in-store apparel. The boutique will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Black Friday, and a DJ will be spinning from noon to 5 p.m.
Baby Teith This online shop announced a sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. On November 29 and December 2 only, shoppers get a free pair of digital print leggings when they buy one pair; a free knotted cap if they spend more than $50; and free shipping on an order if they spend over $100. There will also be free gift wrapping on all orders.
Klury.com This online designer buy-and-sell boutique is offering shoppers $20 off a purchase of $100 or more if they use the code BLACK at checkout. The code will be good from 12 a.m. on Black Friday through midnight on Cyber Monday.
Framed Ewe Specializing in glasses frames, Framed Ewe currently has a huge vintage collection, and the store will offer 50 to 70 percent off select vintage frames. In addition, every purchase will come with a $20 gift card to the restaurant Clever Koi.
Strawberry Hedgehog The Strawberry Hedgehog soap factory isn't usually open to the public, but on Black Friday there will be a pop-up shop inside from 1 to 7 p.m. Products available will include best-sellers and limited edition holiday products. Everything in the shop will be marked down, with body products 10 to 15 percent off, handmade soaps 20 percent off, and gift sets up to 50 percent off. Citrine Natural Beauty Bar The weekend after Thanksgiving, you can go to Citrine Natural Beauty Bar and receive 10 percent off any purchase of $100 or more. On Black Friday only, when you buy two Per-Fekt Mascara you'll get the third half-off.
Changing Hands The popular Tempe bookstore will offer the same deal they do every year: 10 percent off Changing Hands gift cards offered online. Look out for more information on the shop's Facebook or Twitter.
Ash Avenue Books & Comics The comic book store will open at 11 a.m. on Black Friday. The all-day sale is for 20 percent off of all graphic novels, T-shirts, back issues, statues, and toys.
Zia Record Exchange From Friday November 29 to Sunday December 1, the record store will be discounting select CDs for $6.99, DVDs for $9.99, DVD Sets for $12.99, and Blu-Rays for $5.99. Alternative Black Friday at Cityscape If you're looking for a twist on traditional Black Friday, look no further than the Vintage Market at Cityscape. Instead of lugging yourself around to different stores, sit back and relax with some mimosas and local beers and shop at your leisure. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., more than 20 local vendors, including Antique Sugar, Meat Market Vintage, Steel Magnolia, Ruby Mae, and GROWop, will have goods for sale. Listen to live music or skate in the ice rink for $6 including rentals. The event is free and open to the public, and free 2-hour parking with validation will be provided. Studio Joy Li The store will be celebrating Black Friday and the following Small Business Saturday with a two-day sale of 20 percent off everything storewide.
The Phoenix Art Museum If you prefer to stay away from retailers, opt for an excursion to the Phoenix Art Museum instead. On Black Friday, the museum is offering free early admission from 8 to 10 a.m. and the first 50 non-members to enter will receive a free general membership (valued at $75). In addition, non-members can receive 10 percent off at the museum's store, and members get a 20 percent discount. Non-members can get 20 percent off the purchase of a membership throughout the day.
