Fitness in the District at Westgate Entertainment District
The west side is whittling down waist lines with the return of its free community workout series, Fitness in the District, happening from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. every Tuesday, January 6 through February 24. Classes will typically be held at Westgate's Waterdance Plaza with the exception of the first two weeks, which will be held at Fountain Park. Guests can expect a combination of dancing, kickboxing, pilates, yoga, and core strengthening exercises applicable to all ages and levels. Participants should bring their own mats and water. Lululemon Biltmore 5K Run Club
Lululemon at Biltmore Fashion Park packs a serious punch when it comes to working out. The store's weekly community classes include Yoga Flow at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays, FunFit strength training at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays, and a 5K Run Club at 6 p.m. on Thursdays. Each event is free to attend and open to all levels. Participants should meet outside the store and bring their own water and mat or running shoes. Fitness in the District at Tempe Marketplace
Fitness is in the District isn't just gearing up in Glendale. Tempe Marketplace will be holding its own no-cost calorie burning classes from 6 to 7 p.m. every Tuesday, January 6 through February 24, near the main stage. The all-levels classes are taught by certified instructors from the Tempe YMCA and alternate each week between Zumba® and Cardio Kick. Guests should bring their own mats and water. Fit City Annual Expo
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, the Fit City Annual Expo will return to Scottsdale Community College. The all-ages event will attempt to break the world record for the largest Zumba class (free to attend) as well as offer a Gamers Gauntlet obstacle course ($10 to $20 to participate) and a health and fitness expo.
