5. A Too Large T-Shirt Many beginning yoginis and experienced yogini crunched for time make the mistake of grabbing a T-shirt that is roomie. Be warned. This shirt will just droop down around you during down dog and in some cases it will just fall in your face.
Unless your plan is to expose your stomach and /or your sports bra, don't be caught with droopy shirt. It is also best not to tuck in your shirt. You'll hold in too much heat and look like general dork. Instead, opt for a shirt that fits tighter than a night shirt that reaches your lower hip region and test it before hitting class.
4. Cleavage/A quasi revealing shirt. The fellas might disagree with me on this one but there's nothing worse than worrying about flashing the whole class while practicing. Sure, that shirt looks great in spin class but bend over and there's a free show. Or conversely, being that girl who looks like she's trying too hard doesn't bring "one love" to the class.
It just makes people think you're trying to sleep with that cute instructor. If you have a low cut shirt that you love, just choose a conservative sports bra. And guys, there is no reason to take your shirt off during class. Its either good or its bad and either way it's a distraction. (You might get a pass card for heated yoga.)
3. Shoes Obviously yoga is best practiced with bare feet however, be hip and take your shoes off outside of the studio room/yoga room. This means no walking across the room in your shoes, putting your items down and then taking your shoes off.
This also means if you are coming to yoga from another workout, you shouldn't sit on your mat and take off your athletic shoes. Generally speaking you can wear shoes in the foyer area, or just inside the studio if there is a clearly marked area to leave your belongings. But don't wear shoes in the practice area.

2. Running Shorts The looser fit of athletic shorts is fine for many poses but come Utthita Hasta Padangustasana (Extended Hand-To-Big-Toe Pose) you'll be showing more than you think. If you have short running shorts you like to wear, just slip a pair of form fitting lycra shorts underneath. This also makes it easy to change to run before or after class.
1. Nasty Feet Not that you have to have a weekly pedicure, but clean feet are appreciated. If the bottoms of your feet look like you just pulled a Britney at the nearest gas station, just pop in the bathroom before hand to rinse. Everyone in the row behind you will be thankful you did.
