Morning Buzz

A Shocklick Brainstorm, The Skinny Dipping Report, and The Joy of Books

Welcome to the Morning Buzz, a catch-up on interesting happenings around the city and country and a quick guide to what (and who) to keep your eyes on. We'll be here, first thing every weekday, to get you going. Here's what's buzzing this morning:

The brains behind Ice House, specifically the Downtown venue's Shocklick Lounge are looking for ideas and creative solutions from the community. Tonight, from 7 to 10 p.m., organizers wil host a guided discussion and Q&A session on the space's future, including regular events, DJ nights, small performances, small art installations, lecture and community discussion nights, regular classes, and movie screenings. 2. The Skinny Dipping Report

It was only a matter of time before someone claimed to be "the world's leading authority on swimming naked and doing it well." And now you can buy the calendar, with the best spots around the world to take it off and jump in -- with pictures, of course. Grab one for $25 here.

3. The Joy of Books
A year ago, Sean and Lisa Blonder Ohlenkamp organized their bookshelf by color. This month, they decided to ramp things up a little. After "many sleepless nights" of rearranging, stacking, and animating books at the Type bookstore in Toronto, they released the Joy of Books.
