All About My Mother

There are more than a few reasons to celebrate the end of summer including the reopening of Tilt Gallery. Known for its photography shows and workshops, the downtown art space closes its doors every summer and returns every fall with a must-see exhibition. This autumn is no different.

September brings the work of photographer Christine Weller, whose latest artistic endeavor is a visual collection of her late mother's possessions in "Margin of Error." The ASU graduate creates still life portraits of these objects to reveal importance and narrative that explores the bonds between mothers and their children -- what Weller calls " the foundation of all subsequent relationships throughout our lives."

Fri., Sept. 7, 6-9 p.m.; Saturdays, 2-6 p.m.; Fri., Sept. 21, 6-9 p.m. Starts: Sept. 7. Continues through Sept. 29, 2012
