An Affair to Remember

When we catch ourselves idolizing the swanky starlets of Hollywood's golden age, we have to remind ourselves that those pin-curled babes dealt in as much drama (manufactured or otherwise) as today's Lindays, Mileys, and Kardashians. They simply dressed better and didn't have the technology to embarass themselves with TwitPics of their tits.

With old timey duds as inspiration, get dolled up or dapper and head to the classy, not assy, 2013 Oscar Viewing Costume Party Sunday, February 24, at FilmBar, 815 North Second Street. They'll roll out the red carpet photo booth from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. After meeting your paparazzi quota, take a seat in the theater as the Academy Awards ceremony comes to the big screen.

Sun., Feb. 24, 5:30 p.m., 2013
