Arizona Blogger Meetup This Saturday in Phoenix

Local teacher-turned-blogger Danielle Hampton decided she'd had enough of talking to cool bloggers from behind her computer, so she joined forces with Phoenix online gurus Chelsea Brown of Chelsea-Bird and Kelsey Struthers of Roofresh, and created the Arizona Blogger Meetup.

"I've always blogged," says Hampton (you can check out her work at Sometimes Sweet), "And I 'met' all of these people all over the world through blogs and I realized there were a lot of people blogging in Arizona. A couple of my friends in other places had meet-ups before and so I thought, 'why not do this, too?'"

This Saturday, the three are encouraging local blogging experts and newbies alike to network, hang out, and actually see each other for a day in downtown Phoenix.

Hampton says the day will packed with activities that'll allow bloggers to mingle (and see the sun) while taking a Light Rail tour of downtown Phoenix spots including Civic Space Park, Mercantile, Roosevelt Row and Cartel Coffee Lab before heading to Tempe for a few drinks and appetizers.

"There are a lot of people who read each other's blogs, but they've never really met," Hampton explains, "So, this is a really nice way to actually meet them."

The Arizona Blogger Meet-up starts at noon at the Civic Space Park, 444 N. Central Ave. in downtown Phoenix. For more information, check out Hampton's blog post.
