Arizona Soarin'

If all you want for the holidays is to fly through the air supported only by silk tied in a few knots around your ankles and wrists or to swing from a hoop suspended from the rafters, then grab your courage and all your strength and head to Studio B at the Metropolitan Arts Institute, 1700 North Seventh Avenue, on Sunday, November 23, for the Scorpius Dance Theater’s Holiday Aerial Workshop.

From noon to 3 p.m., you’ll learn the ins and outs of using aerial silks and hoops from master aerialist and Scorpius’ assistant director Gavin Sisson. The beginner and intermediate level workshop is $40 if you pre-register or $50 at the door. To reserve a spot and for more information, call 480-390-4900 or visit
