Just because you’re feeling cash-strapped from buying a pile of presents doesn’t mean you have to become a social pariah until after the New Year. We’ve been on the hunt for drinking deals and found one that’s actually pretty sweet. On Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to close at The Handlebar in Tempe, there’s a boozy special designed to appeal to every breed of drinker. For beer lovers this beer-themed establishment offers $4 local craft brews, while your whiskey-soda friend can indulge in well drinks for $3 each. And the hard partiers have something to look forward to as well, since Handlebar serves up two-for-one shots. All that boozing takes place in the beer garden’s indoor and outdoor space complete with bike hooks, park benches and fire pits.
